Dr Ashraf is a fellow of Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP), She completed her fellowship training specialising in Psychiatry at the Sydney West and Greater Southern (SWaGS) Psychiatry Training Network and obtained her fellowship with the Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP). She also has a master’s in public health (MPH) from University of Melbourne.
Dr Ashraf has worked in wide array of organisations within mental health field. in her over 10 years of experience in Psychiatry across Australia, she has experience working with diverse population groups in various settings, such as urban, metropolitan and regional hospitals and community mental health services. Her educational background, training, and professional experience have provided her with the opportunity to work with patients from diverse ethnic groups and socioeconomic conditions, leading to a comprehensive understanding of cultural perspectives in relation to mental health issues. This comprehensive training and experience also enable her to provide personalized professional support and compassionate and supportive method of care for adults experiencing a range of mental health challenges, utilizing evidence-based practices.
Dr Ashraf is an accredited college supervisor for the registrars training in psychiatry and involve in teaching medical students.
